At the 2024 Bolero UCI Gravel World Championships, we believe it’s important that our event is accessible and inclusive for everyone, regardless of physical abilities or other personal circumstances. Information and Communication

  • On this official website, you will find more information about accessibility during the 2024 Gravel World Championships. This includes details about the wheelchair podium, registration procedures for special accommodations, and parking options.


Wheelchair-Accessible Podium at the Finish Line

  • Location: Justus Lipsius (next to Bondgenotenlaan, within the last 300 meters before the finish line)
  • Registration Procedure: Visitors who wish to use the wheelchair podium or reserved parking spaces can easily register by emailing us at info@golazo.com. After registration, you will receive a confirmation followed by all relevant information.
  • Location and Accessibility: A special wheelchair podium has been placed at the finish line, providing wheelchair users with a clear view of the riders’ arrival. Access to the podium is wide, flat, and equipped with a ramp that complies with legal standards.
  • Safety and Capacity: The wheelchair podium has a stable, non-slip surface and is equipped with handrails for extra safety. The capacity of the podium is tailored to the estimated demand, and we will clearly communicate how many wheelchairs the podium can accommodate.

Parking and Accessibility

  • Reserved Parking Spaces: We have reserved parking spaces for wheelchair users close to the finish line. Would you like to make use of this? Contact us at info@golazo.com, and we will send you all the relevant information.
  • Directions: From the reserved parking spaces, clear directions are provided to the wheelchair podium. These routes are accessible, flat, obstacle-free, and wide enough for wheelchairs.


Sanitary Facilities

  • Accessible Toilets: Accessible toilets are available near the wheelchair podium and the parking areas.
  • Signage: There is clear signage directing people to the accessible toilets, making them easy to find.


Safety Measures

  • First Aid: First aid stations are located at strategic points throughout the venue and are accessible for wheelchair users. Our first aid personnel are trained to assist people with disabilities.
